What is a full mouth restoration?

A full mouth restoration replaces all of the teeth in the upper and lower jaw. Any teeth that need to be extracted are removed and your Sugar Land dentist replaces them with implants, typically 4 to 6 implants per jaw. Typically, Dr. Hassan uses something called all-on-4 dental implants. These implants are then used to support a custom-made set of dentures. While a full mouth restoration may seem intimidating, it will help you truly get back to living your life on your own terms. At Colony Dental, we go out of our way to minimize the stress and maximize the quality of your experience. Your quality of life is our top priority. Always.

What are the benefits of a full mouth restoration?

What could be better than getting back to living life the way you want? The comfort and security of dental implants cannot be matched. Replacing all of your teeth comes with numerous benefits, including:

  • Improve your self-confidence and quality of life
  • Preserving the shape of your face and facial muscles
  • Return to eating your favorite foods without worries
  • Replace all of your missing teeth in a single surgical procedure
  • Bone-grafting is typically not required to complete the procedure
  • Implants secure the restoration to your jaw and wont shift or move like traditional dentures

A full mouth restoration is likely the best option if you are missing all or most of your teeth. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation for a full mouth restoration, call Dr. Hassan at (281) 565-4100 today!

How long does recovery from dental implant surgery take?

The process of osteointegration, wherein the titanium posts fuse to your jawbone, can take anywhere from 3 to 8 months to complete. However, most patients are fully healed at the 6 month mark. Once Dr. Hassan has verified that you have healed properly, he will place your final restorations. It may take some time to get used to your new smile, but you will be able to live, speak, chew, and smile on your own terms again!

How long does a full mouth restoration last?

With proper care, excellent oral hygiene, and regular dentist visits, you can expect your new smile to last upwards of 20 years. The best part is you can care for your implants and dentures in the exact same way you would take care of natural teeth, no special tools or products—or extra time!—are needed. The implants and dentures attached to them are intended to be a permanent solution to missing teeth. No paste, no worries, no discomfort.

How much does a full mouth restoration cost?

We know that cost is a barrier to care. Sometimes it can feel like an immovable one. At Colony dental, we work with you and your budget to ensure that a full mouth restoration is an affordable and obtainable solution for your oral health concerns. There are multiple variables that determine the overall cost of your restoration, including:

  • The number of implants that need to be placed
  • Any additional surgical procedures that may be required
  • The material you choose to have your dentures constructed out of

It is possible that dental insurance may cover some of your implant procedure and dentures. To make the care you need even more obtainable, we proudly partner with CareCredit® to offer flexible payment solutions at a monthly price you can afford. Our expert staff will help you determine the best financing option for you and make the process as stress free as possible!
